Current UFC welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg.), Belal Muhammad | was injured and is out of the fight against Shavkat Rakhmonov. The confrontation would be the main fight of the UFC 310, December 8, in Las Vegas. The Palestinian had an infection in the bone of his left foot and is taking strong antibiotics to treat the injury. The information was released by journalist Al Zulino and confirmed by the fighter on social media.

According to Zulino, the matchmakers are looking for a replacement to face the challenger in the category. So far, there is no information about the creation of an interim belt. This would be Muhammad's first title defense.
