One of the most talked about topics of the UFC 308 was the spectacular knockout of Shara Magomedov about Armen petrosyan, performed with a spinning double punch. The victory earned the Russian the 'Performance of the Night' bonus and 14th place in the middleweight rankings (up to 83,9 kg). Still in the octagon, the 'Pirate' tried to land a confrontation with Israel Adesanya, but the one who took the bait was Michael Page.
In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the English striker, who competes in the welterweight category (up to 77 kg), revealed that he would accept the fight against Magomedov immediately. Willing to move up in weight for a striking battle, 'MVP' also asked that Adesanya be left focused on regaining his title.

“Magomedov just won with a spinning double punch and he asked my friend Izzy to fight. Man, I’m at that weight right now. You don’t have to wait too long. This fight, I’ll take it right away, just for fun. I’m in shape and ready to go. I think it’s a good fight for me, just a striking battle for everyone to have fun and for me to get back in the game. And like I said, leave my friend Izzy alone. He wants to get back to the belt, to the throne, so I’ll take his place,” Page said.
With a career built at Bellator, Michael Page debuted in the UFC with a unanimous decision victory over Kevin holland. However, in his next fight, he was defeated by Ian Gary. Currently, the 37-year-old fighter has a record of 22 wins and three losses.
