Brazilian Rafael Cerqueira felt the pressure of being in the UFC octagon. In his debut for the organization this Saturday (26), in Abu Dhabi, at UFC 308, the light heavyweight athlete (up to 93kg) was left without reaction after an overwhelming sequence from the Turkish Ibo Aslan. At 51 seconds, the referee ended the fight, giving the victory to 'The Last Ottoman' by technical knockout.

Rafael Cerqueira suffered his first defeat in his career. At 34 years old, the Brazilian had 11 wins, eight of them by knockout and two by submission. Expectations about what Cerqueira could offer in his UFC debut were high, but what was seen was a feeling of helplessness in the face of the Turkish fighter's aggressiveness.

Ibo Aslam is already starting to gain UFC sensation status: two fights, two knockouts. His resume is even more impressive outside the organization, with 14 wins and 14 knockouts. The 28-year-old fighter has one loss in his career.

Hail of punches

Rafael Cerqueira began by studying his opponent and immediately threw a kick at waist height. Aslam dodged the blow and landed a left hook on the Brazilian's chin, which he felt and ended up leaning his back against the fence. The Last Ottoman then began a barrage of punches and Cerqueira was left to try to protect himself from each 'stone' he received.

With no way to react and taking a real beating, the referee had no choice but to end the fight and declare Aslam's victory by technical knockout.
