
Matheus Nicolau could not overcome Asu Almabaye / Reproduction UFC
In the flyweight category (up to 56,7 kg), the Brazilian Matheus Nicolau could not overcome Asu Almabaye this Saturday (19) in ufc vegas 99, in Nevada. The Kazakh fighter won the victory by unanimous decision of the judges (29-28, 29-28, 29-28). The fight
The fight started off evenly matched, with both fighters studying each other and trying to land blows. The Brazilian tried to keep his distance with Muay Thai while his opponent tried to get an opportunity to take the fight to the ground. A difficult mission, since the Brazilian has a high rate of avoiding takedowns.
At the end of the second round, Matheus applied a guillotine choke to Almabaye, but the Kazakh managed to escape (he almost lost his shorts, which ended up falling off). In the third round, Almabaye jabbed Nicolau, who fell on the bottom and suffered several blows to the ribs. This was the game the Kazakh wanted. Matheus Nicolau was unable to break free from the Kazakh, who won the victory by unanimous decision of the judges.
