The biggest star in bare-knuckle boxing and former UFC welterweight (up to 77,1 kg), Mike Perry got into trouble away from the ring. Last Saturday (12), the fighter was arrested in Florida, in the United States, for drunk driving.

According to online records from the Lake County Sheriff's Office, the former UFC fighter was arrested in the early hours of October 12 by the Clermont Police Department, a city located about 40 miles from Orlando. Perry reportedly checked into jail at 4:36 a.m. and was released five hours later, at 09:41 a.m., after posting $1500 bail.

Mike Perry is due to appear in court for trial on October 30.

UFC athlete for five years, between 2016 and 2021, Mike Perry left the organization and MMA to become the main face of bare-knuckle boxing at BKFC, where he won the symbolic title of 'King of Violence' and has five wins in five fights, including Michael Page, Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez and, more recently, Thiago Alves.

In July this year, Mike Perry gained even more notoriety when he was chosen as the replacement for Mike Tyson and face Jake Paul. On that occasion, the former UFC fighter ended up being knocked out in the sixth round.
