Jorge masvidal gave a nice jab at Conor McGregor. Planning his return to the UFC, the American has many ideas about potential opponents, but it seems that The Notorious is not one of them. The first “BMF” champion has high doubts that the Irishman will compete again after being out of action for the last three years.
“We’ll see him in a bar and shit. Are you talking about the Octagon? In an official fight or for us to be judges? Do you mean fighting? I don’t think so. I hope he proves me wrong, but I don’t think so,” the American said in an interview with MMA Fighting, when asked if McGregor will be seen again in a UFC fight.
Masvidal has made it clear that his opinion is not due to a lack of interest. Before his retirement from MMA in 2023, the American had called for a fight with McGregor numerous times. In turn, The Notorious has been teasing his return for over a year, after recovering from a broken leg suffered in his trilogy against Masvidal's teammate and longtime friend, Dustin poirier. After his recovery, McGregor was a coach at The Ultimate Fighter against Michael chandler , with an expected fight between them set for 2023. Instead, a broken toe forced McGregor to pull out of the scheduled meeting in UFC 303 last June. There were rumors that McGregor could fight before the end of 2024, but UFC president Dana White dismissed those plans and instead pinpointed the Irish star's return for 2025.

With each passing day, more and more doubts are emerging about whether McGregor will actually return or not. Masvidal says he knows for sure that he will not be his opponent if that happens.
“Conor, under no circumstances, is he going to fight me. He passed on fighting Chandler, poor little Chandler… I don’t know how many times he’s let that guy eat the dust. Imagine me? That guy never fights me. He can’t do enough cocaine to f*ck up and fight me,” Masvidal added.
Should McGregor's prediction that he will not return to the UFC be correct, Masvidal would not mind taking his place in the fight against Chandler, although the American sees it as just one of many options open to him.
“It wouldn’t be a bad fight to get my feet wet in MMA again… kind of an introductory course to MMA. I wouldn’t mind that fight. But there are plenty of fights I would take,” Masvidal concluded.

Jorge masvidal He is 39 years old and is known for the fastest knockout in UFC history: 5 seconds with a flying knee against Ben Askren. The American was the first champion of the UFC's symbolic belt, the BMF (Baddest Motherf***** in English), which awards the 'toughest' fighter in the competition.
The symbolic belt was created in 2019, when Nate diaz derrotou Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. He then challenged Jorge masvidal to face it. In the UFC 244, held in November 2019 in New York, Diaz and Masvidal fought for the inaugural belt. After three busy rounds with plenty of exchanges, the fight was stopped due to a cut above Nate's eye, and Masvidal walked away with the title, presented by actor and WWE legend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Today the current holder of the BMF belt is Max Holloway. He conquered it in the UFC 300, when he defeated the former holder Justin gaethje.
