The 5 Fight Music Show, the biggest fighting event between influencers, takes place this Saturday (12) at the Canindé gym, in São Paulo. And the main confrontation between Brazilian boxing legend Acelino 'Popó' Freitas and Argentine Jorge 'El Chino' Miranda is the most anticipated of the night. But after all, who is El Chino Miranda?
The Argentine born in Laboulaye, province of Córdoba, is 41 years old. He fights in the middleweight category (up to 72.57 kg) and has 82 fights on his record, with 59 wins, 22 losses and one draw. 'El Chino', as he is known because of his Chinese-like features, was three-time Latin champion of the WBO (World Boxing Organization), and tried to win the world title twice, but without success.

Among El Chino's defeats, three occurred against Brazilian opponents, including one of them who will also be present in the 5th edition of FMS: Esquiva Falcao. The Brazilian, who faces Morramad Araújo on Saturday, defeated the Argentine twice, in 2019 and 2020. The other defeat for a fighter born in the country was suffered by Yamaguchi Falcao, in 2021.
Despite having lost his last fight, which took place against Aleksander Ramo in June of this year at the Vienna Boxing Championship 15, El Chino is confident for the fight against Popó. Fighting the Argentinean is not easy, as he usually adopts an offensive stance and 'abuses' the clinch when threatened. The Brazilian will have to have cool blood and patience.

Popó and El Chino have been warming up for Saturday's fight behind the scenes. The Argentine sent a message provoking the four-time Brazilian boxing champion, exposing that he has only faced influencers in the editions of FMS. “It seems like you’re scared. Are we going to fight? You only face influencers,” he said.
But it was in the press conference before the fight, in September, that things really heated up. During a face-off with Popó, El Chino took a Brazilian national team shirt out of his pocket and ripped it in front of him. Popó responded by throwing a chair, which was defended by the Argentine. The object practically 'disintegrated'. (see video below)
El Chino did not hide the pain in his arm after the Brazilian's reaction. “Yes, my arm hurts a little. It was a surprise, but the people from the production team who were my security guard helped me. My arm hurt a little, but I'm fine, thank God. There's time to recover,” he said.
