With Anderson Silva on the list, former UFC champion chooses the worst fights in the organization's history

With 30 years of history, the UFC has presented MMA fans with countless memorable and exciting fights, but it has also had its share of disappointments. Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9 kg), Michael Bisping listed in video published on his official YouTube channel the five worst fights in the history of the organization in his opinion, with names like Anderson Silva, Israel adesanya e Francis Ngannou present on the list.

Considered by many to be one of the best fighters to ever step into the octagon, Anderson Silva appeared in fourth place on the list made by Michael Bisping for the duel against the compatriot Demian Maia in the main fight of UFC 112, in 2010. On that occasion, the 'Spider' emerged victorious in the unanimous decision amid boos from the public and a protest from Dana White.

“This one pains me to say because it involves one of my favorites, a legend of the sport, the great Anderson Silva. I don't like to talk s*** about Anderson and it was an honor to share the Octagon with him, but this one was s*** and it made Dana White absolutely furious. I think it was the only time Dana White refused to put the belt on a champion," Bisping said.

The first position on the list of Michael Bisping belongs to Carla esparza e Rose namajunas, who faced each other in a rematch for the flyweight belt (up to 56,7 kg) at UFC 274, in 2022. On that occasion, the two remained in the octagon for five rounds and exchanged only 67 blows, combined. At the end of the fight, the belt went to Esparza.

“I say this with the utmost respect because these two women are tremendous fighters. I'm talking about Rose namajunas e Carla esparza. Coming to this fight, Rose namajunas was world champion and had done incredible things, knocking out Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the first round. It seemed like she was invincible. For five rounds what we saw was 67 connected strikes between the two of them. Two world-class fighters for five rounds and 67 strikes. It wasn't a lot of action,” he concluded.

The rest of the list of Michael Bisping It is formed by Israel adesanya x Yoel romero, in fifth place; Nate Quarry x Kalib Starner, in third; and Derrick Lewis x Francis Ngannou, in second place.
