Towards the title dispute in UFC 306, Merab Dvalishvili demonstrates that he already has an ideal opponent if he defeats Sean O'Malley on September 14 and become the new bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg). After defending his merits Deiveson Figueiredo If he is the next challenger for the belt, the Georgian reinforced his desire by publishing a photo in which he expresses interest in measuring his strength against the God of War.
In a photo posted on his official Instagram account, Merab created a montage in which he appears alongside O'Malley as a couple, but his real intention is with another 'woman', with Deiveson's face. The action triggered several comments from the Georgian's followers, who supported a possible meeting with the Brazilian.

Willing to seize the opportunity, Deiveson immediately reacted to the provocation and promised to show the Georgian athlete his level.

“When we meet, we’ll see. I’ll show you the power of my punch and the potential of my jiu-jitsu,” said Deiveson.
In response, Merab preached respect for his eventual next opponent.
“I know your power. I’m looking forward to it. Let’s go,” concluded the fighter.

Currently ranked fifth in the bantamweight rankings, Deiveson is looking forward to winning the title after defeating three opponents in his new category. The fighter is competing with Umar Nurmagomedov, who is also a strong candidate to face the winner of O'Malley vs. Merab on September 14.
