Dana White, once again, defended the inclusion of MMA in the Olympic Games. In an interview with 'MyMMANews', the UFC president stated that the addition of combat sport could revitalize the Games' audience, which has suffered a decline in recent years.

“I believe that MMA should already be part of the Olympics. I know it's not my job to promote this, but I agree it would be a great step. After all, who doesn't want to see more people watching the Games? MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world and attracts a young and engaged audience”, declared the Ultimate boss.

Currently, sports such as judo, taekwondo, karate, Greco-Roman wrestling and boxing are part of the Olympic program. However, MMA, which combines several fighting techniques, has not yet won a place among Olympic sports.

The inclusion of MMA in the Olympic Games is a topic that divides opinions. While some experts argue that the sport is too violent and does not fit with the Olympic spirit, others argue that MMA is a sport that requires great technical and physical skill, in addition to being one of the fastest growing sports in popularity in the world.
