Dana White took a stand in favor of annulling the only defeat of Jon Jones in the career. In an interview after the UFC 304, an event held last Saturday (27), the president of the organization stated that he has been fighting for this change since what happened in 2009, when 'Bones' was disqualified for applying illegal elbows on Matt Hamill.

The heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) has already spoken out on the matter, asking for the result to be annulled and calling on Dana White to join the campaign. The UFC president now harshly criticized referee Steve Mazzagatti, responsible for the decision at the time, and classified the error as one of the worst in MMA history.

“I’ve been trying to do this since it happened. I think I wanted more than him. It didn't work out very well. I have been fighting for this for a long time. You had an incompetent referee at a time when the Nevada Athletic Commission was at its weakest. This thing (the defeat) should have been and must be annulled”, declared White.

Jon Jones, considered by many to be the best fighter of all time, seeks to have the perfect record and believes that the change in rules puts him in a fairer position. With the recent change in MMA rules, which allows elbows from top to bottom, 'Bones' would have won the fight. In his career, there are 27 wins, one defeat and one 'no result' fight.
