Brazilian beats Ricky Simon and wins second victory in the organization

First Brazilian to climb into the Octagon UFC 303, held this Saturday (29), in Las Vegas (USA), Vinicius LokDog won another victory. Inserted on the preliminary card, the bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) faced a three-round confrontation and overcame Ricky simon. After 15 minutes of competition, the gaucho was declared the winner in a unanimous decision by the judges.

With the result, LokDog maintains 100% success rate in the largest MMA organization in the world. Now, the Tupiniquim has two triumphs in the company.

Defeated in the event, Simon had the warning signal turned on. The athlete had his third consecutive stumble.

The fight began with the athletes studying each other in the center of the Octagon. Simon tried to corner the Brazilian near the bars, but he was restrained from launching attacks. Vinicius started attacking his opponent's legs with kicks. With two minutes gone, LokDog started hitting the winger with clean shots to the face. Next, Simon looked for a takedown, but the gaucho defended himself well. A new direct from Vinicius exploded in the face of his opponent, who accused the attack. The Brazilian remained under pressure and was looking for a knockout in the first round. Ricky tried to respond, but the gaucho's sharp dodge frustrated the North American. Vinicius changed bases and confused his opponent. In the final seconds, Simon closed the distance and started to press LokDog against the bars. The Brazilian, however, managed to free himself easily. Near the end of the stage, Simon managed to land a powerful right on the Tupiniquim's face, but there was no more time.

The Brazilian, however, managed to stay on his feet afterwards. With two minutes to go, Ricky managed to take another takedown, but LokDog was back on his feet. The North American grew in confrontation and led the actions. Simon shook the Brazilian with strikes from close range, but the gaucho continued walking towards his opponent. In the final seconds, Vinicius launched a low kick and felt his own attack. The Brazilian started to walk backwards and Simon tried to take advantage of the moment, but there was no more time.

The last round began with Simon aggressive, attacking with straights and crosses. Vinicius had difficulty finding the distance and threw shots into space. The North American continued to score and the Brazilian started to provoke. The gaucho acted with his guard down and tried to induce his opponent to make a mistake. Simon started to risk takedowns, but the Tupiniquim defended himself well. In the final seconds, it was LokDog's turn to get a takedown, but Ricky stayed on his feet. The timer reached zero with the athletes exchanging blows in the center of the octagon.

Promise for Japanese MMA, King Tsuruya won in his debut as a UFC representative. Flyweight athlete (up to 56,7kg), the combatant was not scared in front of Carlos Hernandez. After three rounds, the 22-year-old was declared the winner with a unanimous decision by the judges.

With the victory, Tsuruya remains undefeated as a professional in mixed martial arts. The Japanese now has 10 positive results in a row.

King's victim, Carlos has reason to worry. The fighter suffered the third setback in five appearances in the organization.
