Probable next challenger for the UFC lightweight belt (up to 70,3 kg.), Arman Tsarukyan had a high price to pay for his impulsive behavior in UFC 300, in April. The Armenian was fined US$25 (about R$136) and suspended for nine months by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) for punching a fan before your fight against Charles of the Bronx, in Las Vegas.
The incident occurred during Tsarukyan's entry into combat. Upon being received with an obscene gesture by a spectator, the fighter reacted with a punch towards the crowd, a moment that was captured by broadcast cameras and several cell phones.

The NAC's decision was announced Tuesday during a monthly board meeting. Tsarukyan's suspension is scheduled to end on January 12, 2025.
However, the sentence can be reduced to six months if the fighter makes an anti-bullying statement previously approved by the commission, which would make him eligible to return to action on October 12 at the numbered Abu Dhabi event, which is touted as possible date for the rematch against Islam makhachev.
Tsarukyan, 27, currently holds a four-fight win streak and is considered one of the top contenders for the belt in the category. With a record of 22 wins and three losses, the Armenian fighter stands out for his aggressive style and resistance.
