Paulo borrachinha had a golden opportunity to get closer to fighting for a new middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg). The Brazilian, however, ended up the victim of Sean Strickland No. UFC 302, held this Saturday (1), in Newark (USA). After five rounds, the North American was declared the winner in a split decision by the judges.

With the defeat, Borrachinha loses the opportunity to take first place in the ranking. Today, the Minas Gerais native is in seventh place.

Former group champion, Strickland won in his first engagement after losing the title to Dricus Du Plessis. The triumph could ensure another chance for the 'bad boy' to fight for the belt.
