It is common for big UFC cards to feature great fighters, active or retired, in the front rows of the arenas, honoring their colleagues in action in the Octagon. Former champion and legend of the organization, Ronda Rousey, however, does not feel welcome to attend events promoted by the organization.
In a recent participation in the 'High Performance' podcast, Ronda Rousey He once again opened up about the treatment he receives from the MMA press and revealed why he has never attended a UFC event since retiring.

“Ask the MMA press. They are the ones who say that what I did was not enough. That I was a fraud and I was exposed, I was never anything big, I was just lucky and everything, that I was ungrateful, a loser or something like that. Everything that could be said negative was said. I feel very maligned by the MMA press and not at all welcome, which is why I have never been to a UFC event since I stopped. I'm sure if I entered the arena, I would be booed”, he said.
Ronda Rousey was promoted from Strikeforce bantamweight champion (up to 61,2 kg) to UFC champion in 2012, the year in which women's MMA was introduced to Ultimate. The American defended the title on six occasions before suffering the first defeat of her career against Holly holmIn 2105.
In 2016, 'Rowdy' returned to compete for the bantamweight belt, but was knocked out by Amanda nunes and said goodbye to professional MMA.
