Speculation about the future of Charles of the Bronx continue to increase. In an interview with the 'UFC Brasil' channel, the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) said he was surprised by the interest of Colby covington to face him but was more excited about a possible reunion with the Hawaiian Max Holloway, current owner of the 'BMF' belt (more thick-skinned).

“I was surprised he said my name. Colby has this way of selling the fight, talking a lot of nonsense. He called me to fight, said that his jiu-jitsu is better, that his wrestling is better, that he is better than me at everything. Could it be a big fight? Could it be. It's a fight that would bring me a lot of money, move me up a division and I would fight stronger. But if I think about it? I don't know. I’ll let my coaches and the UFC brainstorm and decide,” said Charles.
Despite the interest of Colby covington, Do Bronx was more likely to have a rematch with the Hawaiian Max Holloway for the 'BMF' belt.
“The BMF belt certainly interests me. Why not? It's something we talk about, it's about legacy. The belt is with Max Holloway, who is a guy I've already fought and everyone knows I had an injury during the fight. So why not? We talk about legacy, about history, so becoming champion of this belt would be something huge”, concluded Do Bronx.
Former lightweight champion, Charles of the Bronx comes from defeat against the Armenian Arman Tsarukyan No. UFC 300, held on April 13th. At 34 years old, the Chute Boxe product has an MMA record of 34 triumphs, 10 setbacks and one no-contest.
