“Honestly, for me, now it’s not even about the belt, it’s about having a new fight against Alex (Poatan). I want to fight Alex again, just because of the narrative surrounding it. I know what I was feeling there and I know what kind of timing really happens every time we go in there again. I don't care (about Poatan's next fight), all I know is that Jamahal 'Sweet Dreams' Hill is in his future,” Hill said.
Poatan and Hill were in the main fight of the UFC 300, which took place on April 13th. Current light heavyweight champion, the Brazilian fighter successfully defended his title by brutally knocking out the North American in the first round and sending the audience into a frenzy at the historic event.
Despite the bitter setback, Hill already has a new commitment in the octagon. 'Sweet Dreams' will face the knockout artist Khalil rountree JR. The long-awaited duel will take place at UFC 303, scheduled for June 29th, in Las Vegas (USA).
