Even though it is a highlight of the main card of the UFC 300 and maintaining his unbeaten record in professional MMA, BoNickal still leaves doubts in the community about how far he can go. In a statement on his podcast 'Pound 4 Pound', the former champion Henry Cejudo said that the North American has the talent to win the middleweight belt (up to 83,9kg) in the future, however, today, he is not in a position to break into the top-10 of the category.

“Don't put that pressure on yourself if you're disappointed with your performance, because honestly, I believe you can be a future middleweight champion. But you're not ready for the top 10. If they put you up against the big guys like Marvin vettori, which has good jiu-jitsu, big guys who will also fight, a guy like Paulo borrachinha. I mean, he’s not ready for that top-10,” said Cejudo.
