Holloway softens his triumph at UFC 300 and chooses victory over Brazilian as the biggest achievement in his career

""That (UFC 300) has to be second (place). This has to be number two (best achievement). O José Aldo, (me) going to Rio (against) the 'King of Rio', that will always be my number one. Doing what I did against Aldo was incredible, so this (UFC 300) has to be the second”, declared Holloway in an interview with sony sports network.

Called up in 2017 for a duel valid for the unification of the featherweight belts (up to 65,7kg), Holloway traveled to Rio de Janeiro to face José Aldo at UFC 212. At the time, the Hawaiian was interim featherweight champion (up to 65,7kg) and considered the underdog for the duel valid for title unification. In a dominant performance over the Brazilian, Max knocked out his opponent in the fourth round and silenced the audience in the arena.
