No UFC 300, held last Saturday (13), Charles had a good performance but was defeated by the Armenian Arman Tsarukyan in the judges' split decision. The tough setback kept Do Bronx away from his dream of a new fight for the lightweight belt.

Former champion of the category, Charles is going through a delicate moment in the organization with two defeats in his last three fights, in addition to the controversial departure of UFC 294, in October 2023, where he would face the Russian again Islam makhachev but he had to leave the match after cutting his eyebrow with around 10 days to go before the event in Abu Dhabi (USA).
