Blindado and Weidman receive indefinite suspension after duel at UFC Atlantic City

Armored needs clearance from the ophthalmologist, while Weidman has to undergo a head CT scan

After the controversial defeat to Chris Weidman at UFC Atlantic City, last Saturday (30), Bruno Blindado already expressed interest in a rematch against the former champion. The two, however, could be away from the Octagon for a long time.

Released by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, the entity responsible for regulating UFC Atlantic City, the list of medical suspensions from last Saturday's event includes ten athletes suspended for an indefinite period, including Weidman and Blindado.

In addition to a minimum suspension of 30 days, the Brazilian will remain away from the octagon until he receives medical clearance from an ophthalmologist regarding his left eye, which was hit by fingerprints. Chris Weidman.

The former champion received the same 30-day minimum suspension and must undergo a CT scan of his head before returning to competition.

Lupita Godinez: suspended for seven days with no contact.

Herbert Burns: suspended for 45 days, with 30 days without contact due to technical knockout, and suspended indefinitely pending approval from a neurologist.

Connor Matthews: suspended for 45 days without contact due to technical knockout, and suspended indefinitely pending approval from a neurologist.

Ibo Aslan: suspended for 30 days with no contact, suspended indefinitely pending CT scan of head and x-ray of right foot.

Anton Turkalj: Suspended for 60 days due to technical knockout and suspended indefinitely pending CT scan of the head, clearance from a neurologist and x-ray of the lower extremities.

Jacob Malkoun: suspended for 30 days

Andre Petroski: suspended for 45 days due to technical knockout and suspended indefinitely pending a CT scan of the head.

Caolan Loughran: suspended for seven days with no contact.

Angel Pacheco: suspended for 45 days without contact due to facial lacerations and suspended indefinitely pending orthopedist clearance for left ankle.
