After four years of fasting from victories, Chris Weidman finally returned to the path of triumph at UFC Atlantic City, overcoming Bruno Blindado by unanimous decision. However, last Saturday's fight (30) was marked by a controversial move that generated heated debate on social media: a finger in the Brazilian's eye that, for many, influenced the final result.

At the beginning of the third round, Weidman hit Blindado with his finger in the right eye, causing the Brazilian to fall to the ground and complain of intense pain. The referee did not stop the fight and made the former champion go all out. With the analysis, the sheets were opened and the decision was won for the North American.
The move generated outrage among part of the fighting community. Many experts and fans considered that the finger in the eye was intentional and that it harmed the result.
The New Jersey Athletic Commission (NJAC), responsible for regulating the event, has not yet officially commented on the case.
