Recent statements from Conor McGregor in relation to his return to Ultimate, they point to a 'rift' between the Irishman and the organization, but Dana White denies that there is any type of 'noise in communication' between the parties.

During his appearance on the 'Pound-4-Pound' podcast, Dana White denied communication failures and justified the delay in confirming McGregor's next steps with the Irishman's busy schedule due to the release of the film 'Real Killer'.

“There is no failure in communication. No way. Do you know where Conor is tonight? He is in New York for the premiere of 'Matador de Aluguel'. He has obligations to fulfill now to promote this film. He is traveling all over the world for all the film release events. This is an obligation he needs to fulfill. He is committed to the film. He can't do both. Once the film premieres, which happens this Thursday (21), that's it. I don’t know what his commitments will be after the launch, but he can go back to the gym and start training, get ready for a training camp”, explained the president.

Dana White praised the abilities of Conor McGregor as a 'business man' and said he had no problem with the Irishman's absence for the recording of 'Matador de Aluguel'. The president, however, hopes that the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion's focus will return to his MMA career now that the film has been released.

“For a guy who was almost begging, or whatever his situation was when he got to the UFC, Conor McGregor He's a great businessman. He has been a great partner for us. I like being a good partner for him too. Conor needed time away to deal with his commitments and now, when it's over, we can start talking about fights for Conor,” said Dana.

Finally, Dana once again addressed the difficulty of staying focused on your career when you earn as much money as you do. Conor McGregor achieved over the last few years.

“Once you start making a lot of money, you're not as hungry as you used to be and it becomes harder to go to the gym. It sucks that you work as hard as you used to. It's harder to stay on top after making that amount of money. Then you think about how much money Conor made. The guy spends months on f***ing yachts and stuff like that,” he concluded.
