Amidst the long delay in returning Conor McGregor to the UFC, Dana White finally opened up to put an end to several rumors created about the Irishman. In an interview with Henry Cejudo, the president detailed the difficulty in dealing with the former double champion, due to the 'Notório' schedule. Despite the scenarios, both ruled out any possibility of possible rivalry.
“He currently has obligations to promote his film. He is traveling all over the world to promote the film. This is an obligation he needs to do. After this film is released (21/03), I don't know what other obligations he will have, but then he can go back to the gym and start training. All the time, really prepare for a fight”, declared Dana.

As he continued his speech, the president defended the Irishman's choices regarding his career.
“But you can dispute that too, tell me if I'm wrong on this shit. Once you start making a lot of money, you are not as hungry as you were before. It's difficult to go back to the gym, difficult to stay at the top. And then you think about the money Conor made. He lives on yachts, for months and things like that (…) from the release of the film, we can talk about his return”, he concluded.
Inactive for three years, Conor McGregor has not performed since breaking his ankle in a duel against Dustin poirier. In addition to Dana White's speech, the Irishman stated that he will return to the octagon between June and September and said that his next opponent will be Michael chandler.
