Conor McGregor plans return to the Octagon and confirms next opponent

Irishman once again states that he will perform for the organization in the North American summer; businessman confirms announcement soon

Amidst several unfulfilled promises, Conor McGregor he returned to the Octagon from mid-June to September. After declaring dissatisfaction with the UFC's stance on delaying him in the organization, the Irish star backtracked and expressed anxiety about making the long-awaited fight against Michael chandler. Currently the fighter has been inactive for three years.

“We had confirmation a few days ago: Notório is returning to the UFC octagon this summer (North American). Yes, against Michael chandler. I will beat Michael, I will destroy him. I have great news. The system is working. I had the call,” Conor said in an interview with ESPN.

In addition to the Irishman, Audie Attar, manager of the former double champion, also reinforced the athlete's commitment.

“You will have the announcement very soon. Stay tuned,” he told 'The Mac Life'.

In his last appearance in the octagon, Conor suffered a serious setback to Dustin poirier in a fight that marked a trilogy between the athletes. On that occasion, the Irishman fractured his ankle and needed a long time to recover from the damage suffered.

After recovering, McGregor starred in The Ultimate Fighter alongside Michael chandler, when he created a scenario of rivalry and scheduled a confrontation against the North American. Despite negotiations, the fight has not materialized so far.
