THE FIGHT
Petrino and Pedro started the duel respecting each other and exchanging few blows in the center of the cage. Pedro tried to shorten it and was scared when he received a cross that grazed his chin. Tyson landed a kick to the Brazilian's waistline, which he tried to return, but the response was empty. In the final minute, Petrino landed a good jab combination followed by a high kick, which scared his rival.
The second round began with Petrino more aggressive and landing a straight shot followed by a cross to his rival's face. Quickly, Petrino pinned Tyson to the fence and started looking for the takedown. Petrino and Pedro clashed on the fence and the referee spoke twice asking the two athletes to 'work'. Petrino tried a high kick but Pedro dodged it without much difficulty. The fighter from Minas Gerais started a sequence of kicks, however, both ended up in his opponent's guard.
Trying to take advantage of Pedro's imminent fatigue, Petrino returned with more impetus for the last part and stuck to his rival's back. The Brazilian threw his rival to the ground 'like a sack of potatoes' and remained dominating on the ground. Petrino continued to keep his rival pinned to the ground, however, without much aggression or forcefulness. In the last seconds, Petrino tried to land a katagatame but the bell sounded, declaring the end of the fight.
