Defeated in his last appearance to Merab Dvalishili in the UFC 298, Henry Cejudo demonstrates that he does not carry any regrets after suffering the second consecutive setback in the organization. Keeping an eye on the rise of his tormentor, the North American adopted a sincere stance when analyzing the Georgian's next path in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg) and was optimistic when predicting the athlete's success.

“Obviously, he has the next title shot. He will be in UFC 299 personally, so I think either way, the winner or whoever fights Merab, it will be easy money. Its pace is too absurd. Unless O'Malley or Chito catches him early in the first or second round, but I'll tell you what, this guy can take a hit and still keep coming forward. I saw him get knocked down by Ricky simon, but still came forward, I saw him get hit by Marlon moraes and myself for that crazy hook”, declared Cejudo on his channel YouTube.

By continuing his speech, Cejudo valued his defeat by highlighting the great skills presented by his rival.

“This guy has stamina. The time has come for him to become a world champion. Even if he fought Alajmain Sterling, given the chance to be there with both of them, he would beat Sterling too, he would really win. I think the pace he would maintain even with a guy like Sterling, I think he would get rid of him. This guy, especially in a five-round fight, is impressive,” he concluded.
