MMA fans go crazy with Alex Poatan and Charles do Bronx at UFC 300: see the reactions

The fans of MMA were surprised last Saturday (17/03) with the announcement that UFC 300, which takes place on April 13, in Las Vegas (USA), will have two Brazilians on the main card. The light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.), Alex Poatán, will defend his belt against Jamahal hill, while the light weight (up to 70,3kg.) Charles of the Bronx will face Arman Tsarukyan, looking for a new chance to compete for the category title.

The news was released by the organization shortly after the UFC 298, and caused an uproar on social media. Many internet users celebrated the presence of the two biggest names in national MMA today at the same event, but also expressed concern about the outcome of the fights.

Alex Poatan and Charles do Bronx are Brazilian idols

The two Brazilians have stories of overcoming challenges and achievements in the UFC. Alex Poatán, aged 36, is the first Brazilian to become champion of two different categories. He has a record of nine triumphs and two setbacks and will face Jamahal hill, 32 years old, who has a record of 12 positive results and one negative result.

Charles of the Bronx, aged 34, is the record holder for submissions in Ultimate, with 16. The São Paulo native, with 34 triumphs, nine setbacks and one fight without result, comes from a knockout victory against Beneil Dariush, and seeks a new opportunity to compete for the lightweight belt, which is in the hands of the executioner Islam makhachev. He will face Arman Tsarukyan, 25 years old, who has a record of 21 triumphs and three setbacks.
