Everything ready for the awaited UFC 298. In the early afternoon of this Friday (16), all athletes scheduled for the event appeared on the scales to confirm their presence at the event this Saturday (17), in Anaheim, California.

Protagonists of the event, Alexander Volkanovsky e Ilia Topuria They were the first to step on the scale to confirm their fight for the featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg). Champion and challenger were below the category limit, weighing the same 65,5 kg.

Soon after they came Robert whittaker e Paulo borrachinha, responsible for the co-main fight of the night, at middleweight (up to 83,9 kg). Both used half a pound of tolerance to reach the same 84,1 kg and confirm the duel.

A curious event marked the weighing of the UFC 298. Moments before the start of the ceremony, it was announced that the fight between heavyweights Marcos Foot e justin tafa had been canceled due to an injury to the New Zealander. At the end of the weighing, however, Junior Tafa, Justin's brother, stepped up to replace his brother to face the Brazilian.

With the main fights confirmed, the UFC 298 takes place this Saturday (17), at the Honda Center, in Anaheim, California, in the United States.
