With just two days left until the UFC 298, the brazilian Paulo borrachinha It looks like he won't have any trouble breaking the limit for the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg). On his Instagram, the former challenger made a record showing excellent physical shape and impressed MMA fans who are looking forward to the duel with Robert whittaker this Saturday (17).

Sixth placed in the middleweight rankings, Borrachinha has been standing out negatively due to the infrequency of fights in Ultimate. In the last three years, the Brazilian has played only three times, with two defeats, to Israel adesanya and Marviin Vettori and a victory over the veteran Luke Rockhold in his last appointment, in August 2022, at UFC 278.
Even with the infrequent fights, Borrachinha will be one of the protagonists of the UFC 298, which takes place next Saturday (17). The Brazilian fighter will face former middleweight champion Robert Whitakker in the co-main fight of the card. The winner of the clash will be in a good position to become the South African's next challenger Dricus Du Plessis, current owner of the belt.
