Escalated to the awaited UFC 300, BoNickal prepares for his third appearance in Ultimate. Pointed out as a great promise in the middleweight category (up to 83,9kg), the athlete was alerted by Chael Sonnen regarding his next fight. According to the veteran, despite bookmakers pointing out the star as a big favorite, Cody Brundage will be a dangerous rival on April 13th.

“Cody has a 10-5 record, and you might think that's not a pretty record. He has beautiful skills. Cody has very beautiful skills. I watched the fights he lost, and what happened to Cody in all five of his losses was that he found himself in a fight that was tougher than he thought it would be. In each of those fights where he came second, halfway through the fight, he discovered that his opponent had a skill set that he didn't know the opponent had," Sonnen said on his YouTube channel. As he continued his speech, the commentator highlighted Brundage's ability in Nickal's flagship: grappling.

“Cody is a former wrestler. He'll know exactly what he's getting into BoNickal. He will know exactly how to take care of himself for up to 15 minutes. In this fight here, Nickal is the favorite, he should be, (but) it's a very different fight than you think it will be. If you think this is a one-minute fight or even a five-minute fight, Nickal vs. Cody is a very different fight than you think it will be,” he concluded.
