Nassourdine Imavov won an important victory over Roman Dolidze in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 85, held last Saturday (3/2). However, what caught attention was the attitude of the winner, who performed an illegal kick and then attacked a member of his rival's corner, the North American Chris Curtis, with whom he has an old feud.
The incident occurred in the fourth round, when Imavov was trying to take down Dolidze in the center of the octagon. The Georgian had three supports on the ground, which prevents blows to the head, but the Frenchman threw a kick that hit him square in the face. Referee Herb Dean stopped the fight and deducted one point from the fighter for the infraction.
At that moment, Nassourdine went to Roman's corner and began exchanging insults with Curtis, who was on the fence. The two clashed, with the Frenchman being restrained by the referee. Dean warned Imavov and said he could disqualify him if he continued his unsportsmanlike behavior.
The fight was restarted and Imavov maintained control over Dolidze, both in striking and on the ground. At the end of the five rounds, the judges awarded the victory by majority decision to the Frenchman, who moved closer to the top 10 in the middleweight category.

The origin of the fight between Nassourdine Imavov and Chris Curtis
The confusion originates from a previous fight between them, in the UFC 289, in June 2023. At the time, the fight ended without result, after an accidental headbutt from Nassourdine Imavov em Chris Curtis, who had his right eye bleeding and blurry.
Curtis asked for more time to recover, but referee Jason Herzog ended the fight, to the frustration of both fighters.
