Two-time PFL champion, Larissa pacheco took on the stance of a champion and reinforced her desire to test herself against the legendary Chris Cyborg. Observing the Curitiba native's insatiable hunt to confirm her new confrontation, the woman from Pará was open to 'welcoming' the featherweight title holder (up to 65,7kg) to Bellator. The proposal was made in an interview with the podcast 'Trocação Franca'.

“I believe I'm at a much higher level than the athletes she was facing. I see Cris' situation as 'help'. She wants to retire. This is a fact. She's shooting for where she's going to get paid more, or where she can stay in the media longer, so she can make money and support her family. (…) Cris left the UFC in a very ugly way (2019), fighting with Dana White. He's already made it very clear that he doesn't like him. He had his reasons and she had hers. (…) The event she was champion in was Bellator. (…) Her new home is the PFL, which was the one who bought Bellator,” said Pacheco.

Willing to test herself against one of the best fighters in history, Larissa is not intimidated. The Brazilian, respectfully, insists that the challenge facing Cyborg is the biggest to be promoted at the moment.

“I don’t see why I shouldn’t do the fight. Only if she doesn't want to. I have my right as champion. I didn't work for nothing. There is no reason to waste two big fights for my or her ego,” she concluded.
