Paulo Borrachinha accuses Khamzat Chimaev of refusing fight offered by UFC

“My dream fight is for the belt against ‘Chen Chen’ (Khamzat Shimaev). I have no doubt about a fight, a confrontation against Chimaev. I can bet everything on myself. I have a lot of confidence in this fight. It should happen, it has to happen. But they can't force it. You don't know how much everyone in the UFC pushed, they forced Khamzat to face me in Abu Dhabi. Borrachinha and Chimaev would face each other in the UFC 294, which took place in October 2023, in Abu Dhabi (UAE). However, with just a few days left before the event, the Brazilian suffered a serious infection in his elbow and had to be removed from the fight, being replaced by Kamaru Usman.
