Former Bellator star Michael Page reveals nervousness before signing UFC contract: ‘I didn’t sleep for 48 hours’

The English fighter made no secret of the fact that he was eager to define his future and celebrated the fact of being signed by the biggest MMA organization in the world

Former Bellator star, welterweight (up to 77,1kg) Michael Page He made no secret of the fact that he was quite anxious before defining his future. In an interview with 'MMA Fighting', the English fighter revealed that he hadn't slept in the last two days when he had to decide which organization he would fight for and celebrated the fact of having signed a contract with the UFC.

“I didn't really sleep for 48 hours. The first choice was definitely the UFC, but at the same time it was nice to feel wanted, so to speak. But yes, it was a long 48 hours (of negotiation). People were like, 'I don't know how you're still standing.' But when it comes to work, I'm always ready. The storm is not now. It seems like there is a big storm around my name. But the storm will come when I enter the octagon, trust me,” said Page.

A Bellator athlete between 2013 and 2023, the ‘MVP’ won 17 victories and suffered only two defeats in the organization chaired by Scott Coker. Hired by Ultimate, Page will make his debut in UFC 299, scheduled for March 09th, in front of the experienced Kevin holland. The Englishman has an MMA record of 21 positive results and just two negative results.
