Brazil surpasses ‘the rest of the world’ in direct confrontations in the UFC in 2023; see the survey

The 2023 Ultimate calendar ends with the UFC 296, it is possible to say that the year was positive for Brazil in the Octagon. In addition to crowning new champions like Alexandre pantoja, in flies (up to 56,7 kg) and Alex Poatán, in the light heavyweight division (up to 93 kg), the ‘Brazilian Squadron’ ended the season with an advantage in direct confrontations against fighters from other countries.

In 156 duels held over the 43 events of the year, Brazilian fighters won 83 opportunities, while losing 70. Furthermore, one duel ended in a draw and two others ended without result.

In terms of performance, the best month for the Brazilians was May, with nine victories in 12 fights. Other positive highlights were the months of April, with nine victories in 13 clashes, and July, with 15 victories in 23 matches.

The worst month for Brazilian athletes was September, with five defeats in eight fights. January and June also stood out negatively.
