O UFC 296 will mark the end of the 2023 Ultimate season. And to close the year with a flourish, the largest MMA organization in the world has prepared a stellar card that will feature 13 fights and two title fights. In the main fight, Leon edwards puts his welterweight title (up to 77,1kg) on the line against the controversial Colby covington. In the second most important duel of the night, the Brazilian Alexandre pantoja, flyweight champion (up to 56,7kg), will be challenged by the North American Brandon royval in an expected rematch.

After two fights with Kamaru Usman, Leon edwards consolidated his reign in the welterweight division but will already face a tough (and questionable) challenge in his second title defense. Without stepping foot in an octagon since March 2022, Colby covington was surprisingly confirmed as the English fighter's next rival and will climb into the octagon of the T-Mobile Arena dreaming of winning the Ultimate belt.
