MMA legend and former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) in the UFC, Anderson Silva took advantage of a rare appearance to praise the legacy that Alex Poatán is creating in MMA. Keeping an eye on his compatriot's latest achievement, 'Spider' did not hesitate to highlight the São Paulo native's great achievements during his former reign and expressed happiness when reflecting on Pereira's success.

“Poatan is making history. He was champion of the lower category (middleweight) which is really difficult, with a very sinister guy who is Adesanya and now he won the upper category (light heavyweight) which is a very very difficult category too. So he’s making his story too,” Anderson said in an interview with 'Flow Podcast'.

“I had the opportunity to train with him. He is sinister, very sinister. It's an unusual accident, unusual business. You crash and you get hurt. Touching a guy hurts, if you punch him in the wrong place, you get hurt. The guy is sinister,” she concluded.
