After beat Kamaru Usman and qualify for the middleweight title fight in the co-main fight of the UFC 294, last Saturday (22), Khamzat Shimaev surprised with a emotional speech in relation to the war waged by Israel and Palestine. However, if the Chechen's speech in English was moderate and pacifist, the following statement, in his native language, had a much more forceful approach.

In a firm speech in the Chechen language addressed to Ramzan Kadyrov, controversial leader of Chechnya and close ally of Vladimir Putin, Khamzat Shimaev would have asked, according to a translation made by journalist Karim Zidan from the website 'Sportspolitika', for permission to take up arms and fight for Palestine.

“Boss, may Allah be pleased with you. It's not difficult to act here and fight for yourself here. If you give me permission, I swear by Allah, I will be the first to go there (Palestine). For God's sake, give me weapons so I can go to Palestine. I swear, I wasn't raised to fight in shorts. I swore loyalty to our boss and I swear, if he gives me the right, I'm the guy willing to die there. I don’t worry about my own death as much as I worry about that of my Muslim brothers,” said the fighter.

after the UFC 294, Kadyrov shared a video in which he appears taking Khamzat Shimaev on a private jet back to Chechnya, where the fighter was given a hero's welcome.
