Warlley Alves is brutally knocked out by Ikram Aliskerov and suffers third consecutive defeat at UFC 294

The Brazilian veteran couldn't resist the Russian's striking power and was easily defeated in the first round; the duel took place at the Ettihad Arena, in Abu Dhabi (UAE)

One of the main rising prospects in the middleweight division (up to 83,9kg), Ikram Aliskerov went through yet another obstacle in the organization. At the UFC 294, which took place on Saturday afternoon (21), the Russian showed sharp striking and a lot of power in his hands and knocked out the Brazilian Warlley alves still in the first round. The show was held at the Ettihad Arena, in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

Signed in 2022 after participating in the Contender Series, Aliskerov wins his second consecutive fight in the organization, both by knockout in the first round. The Russian has an MMA record of 15 wins and just one setback as a professional in the sport.

At 32 years old, Warlley suffers his third consecutive defeat in the organization and sees his job threatened in the biggest MMA company in the world. The Brazilian athlete now has 14 triumphs and seven setbacks in the sport.

The duel began carefully, with the two athletes exchanging low kicks in the center of the cage. After a few minutes of exchanging blows without much aggression, the Russian 'turned the switch' and landed a flying knee that shook the Brazilian. Aliskerov took advantage of Warlley's grogginess and punished the Tupiniquim with a barrage of punches until the central referee interrupted.

Highlight of bantamweight (up to 61,2kg), Said Nurmagomedov returned to the path of victories categorically. Against Tajik Muin Gafurov, the Russian needed just over a minute to take advantage of the gap left by his rival in a blitz, grab his neck and force him to give up, raising the audience in Abu Dhabi.

With the brutal victory, Said returns to the path of victory and once again dreams of a place in the top-15 of the division. The Russian now has 18 victories and only three setbacks as a professional fighter.

On the other hand, Gafurov suffers his second consecutive defeat and now has a record of 18 positive results and just six negative results.
