Former world boxing champion Acelino Popó Freitas once again provoked the former UFC champion José Aldo and said again that he would accept to face him in a boxing match.
In an interview with the Ag Fight website, Popó stated that Aldo is an “interesting name” for Brazilian boxing, but criticized his performance in recent fights.

"Horrible. In the penultimate fight, he fought a guy who had lost three times and was unable to knock him out. In his last fight too, people only criticized him. I have nothing to talk about. If he accepts, train and beat him. It's an interesting name. It just depends on him”, declared Popó.
Popó x José Aldo
Popó, who is 45 years old, continues to look for big names for boxing fights, having already faced personalities such as Whindersson Nunes e Junior Stuntman, in addition to having already hit José Pele Landi. The multi-time boxing champion has provoked ex-BBB Kléber Bambam, who also appears as one of the alternatives.
Aldo, who is 35 years old and considered one of the biggest names in Brazilian MMA, has not yet commented on Popó's challenge. The fighter, since retiring from MMA, has made three appearances in boxing, with two wins and one draw.
