One of the most experienced athletes on the entire Ultimate squad, the veteran Rafael dos Anjos appeared calm for the duel against Vincent Luque in the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 78. In an interview with 'Ag. Fight', the former lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) recalled his extensive experience in the octagon and believes that this factor will be crucial to emerge victorious in the duel that takes place this Saturday (12).

“I think my experience, in a five-round fight, will make all the difference in this fight. Experience certainly makes a difference, even mentally. I already know what awaits me. I think this is my 11th main event, so I've been through everything inside this octagon. I've been through good times and bad times. My experience will count a lot. I’m a guy who moves forward too and I’m definitely going to come out with the victory,” said Dos Anjos.
Still ranked as a lightweight, in ninth place, Rafael returned to the welterweight division in December 2022 when he submitted Bryan barberena in the second round. Former challenger for the category's interim belt, Dos Anjos entered the world's most famous octagon 33 times and recorded 21 wins and 12 losses. The Brazilian's peak between 2014 and 2015, when the native of Niteroi won the title of the under-70,3kg division.
