Highlighting the 'Bellator x RIZIN 2' edition, held last Sunday (30), in Saitama (JAP), Patricky Pitbull revealed the details of the confusion involving Brazilians in the event's locker rooms. Exclusively to SUPER LUTAS , the star of the North American organization pointed out his version of the fight with Kleber Koike after Patrício's defeat to Chihiro Suzuki. The Brazilian explained what motivated the start of the brawl that occurred backstage.
“I came here through Mikura Asakura, who is a phenomenon here in Japan. He's fought Floyd Mayweather, he's a YouTube star , he has several companies, he's highly successful, and he also fights MMA. (…) I came to promote a fight almost two months ago. I talked to a Brazilian friend of mine, Fernando, to train with him. He's a left-handed guy. I just wanted to train so I wouldn't 'be idle,' and he said that, unfortunately, he couldn't, but he wanted me to train with him in Japan. (…) The Japanese guy was short and to the point: 'I'll pay.' I came here (Japan) three weeks before the fight (initially, Patricky was going to face AJ McKee at 'Bellator x RIZIN 2'). Kleber (Koike), unfortunately, got offended. He made a video on his YouTube channel talking badly about us. I was sad and thought it was cowardly. We always greeted each other. My brother ( Patrício Pitbull ) and I have always been respectful. Patrício always raised the "His ball is here in Japan," said Patricky.

Inserted in the Bellator lightweight tournament (up to 70,3kg), Patricky then narrated his version of the episode that culminated in the confusion.
“I was in my brother’s corner (who faced Chichiro Suzuki moments after Patricky defeated Robert Satoshi), not in the corner itself, but a few seats behind. I saw Kleber come by all dressed up to be in the front row. I was watching the fight and, unfortunately, what happened to my brother happened (the legend was knocked out in the first round), and I see Kleber jumping and celebrating. I was already annoyed with him because of his YouTube statement . When I saw him celebrating, I ran into the ring to see how my brother was. (…) I saw that he was okay, I went to the corner, pointed at Kleber and said: 'You’re a piece of shit, a coward, and I’m going to break your face. You liar.' He was kind of quiet. When Patrício was coming down from the ring, I thought we were going in the direction he (Koike) was, but there was a security guard and he told us to go the other way. When my brother went the other way, I went straight for Kleber.” He was sitting down. (…) 'You keep talking shit on the internet, say it to our faces'. (…) I pushed both hands into his chest. Like a man, in front of him. I waited for him to get up. (…) I went into the locker room, after half an hour, a coach said: 'pay attention'. I was sitting with my back turned. When I turned around, he (Kleber) was already jumping with his feet on my chest. I was getting up, I fell on the stretcher and the confusion started. About 30 people in the locker room. It wasn't a one-on-one fight. It was cowardly, from behind. Because, if it had been a one-on-one fight, I would have smashed his face. Patrício even applied a guillotine choke to Kleber. After the kick, security wouldn't let us get close to him. It was more than 20 minutes,” explained Patricky.
At the event, the lightweight, who was scheduled to face AJ McKee in the main fight, faced Roberto Satoshi, who replaced the American, who was injured just before the fight. With the victory, the fighter from Rio Grande do Norte advanced to the semifinals of the category's tournament.
Inserted into the event at the last minute to face Suzuki, a 24-year-old Japanese prospect, Patrício ended up defeated by knockout moments later. The Bellator legend's stumble happened in the first round.
