Dominant in fight held in UFC London, Ketlen Scallop resorted to his origins and put his black belt on the line to defeat Pannie kianzad. Back on the path to victory, the Brazilian highlighted the importance of preparing for an MMA fight and recognized the difficulty presented by her opponent during the confrontation at the O2 Arena.
“Being able to dominate an athlete like Pannie is incredible. I had already studied Pennie and knew that she was very dangerous, within the guard she has good attacks, so my objective whenever she took down, was to get to half guard and she defended herself very well. It's an MMA fight, so you have to be very well prepared and I knew she was going to be very well prepared”, said Ketlen in an interview with UFC.

Fourth placed in the bantamweight division (up to 61,2kg), the Brazilian avoided talking about the future and only assured that she would be ready for the next challenge.
“A victory is very important for me, especially against an athlete as tough as Pannie. We have another Brazilian who is very well placed and I place my life in God's hands and may God's will be done. When my time comes I will be ready and that is what I want”, she concluded.
As much as Jafel Filho, Ketlen also brought victory to the Nova União academy. In a strategic performance, the Brazilian avoided risks and used her grappling skills to nullify her rival. Close to the belt, Vieira reached her eighth triumph in the organization and defended her position as fourth in the bantamweight rankings (up to 61,2kg.)
