Retired from MMA since the setback to Jim Miller, in mid-2022, Donald Cerrone admitted unusual excitement in the new phase. In an interview with 'MMA Junkie', the North American spoke about the reality after hanging up his gloves, which allowed him to return to the hormone replacement process. The action is prohibited to professional UFC fighters by USED (United States Anti-Doping Agency).
“Right now, I’m happy to no longer be part of USADA tested athletes. I feel like a 21 year old again. Guys, I'm telling you, when you retire, go straight to testosterone replacement therapy and get your wives in trouble, because you feel like you're 18 again,” Cerrone joked.

Popular phenomenon in Ultimate, Donald, 40 years old, abandoned the sport almost a season ago. The North American, who competed for the lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg) in 2015, had a negative record in his last years in the company.
Despite repeated setbacks, Cerrone had a positive impact on his career in mixed martial arts. Over more than 15 years, the athlete had 36 wins, 17 losses and two 'I didn't answer'.
