In a new test at flyweight (up to 56,7kg), Amanda ribas succumbed to an Ultimate promise. Last Brazilian woman to climb into the octagon UFC Jacksonville, held this Saturday (24), Minas Gerais had an exciting confrontation against Maycee barber, but ended up being defeated in the second stage of the co-main fight. Battle in the octagon
The confrontation began with Ribas unbalancing Maycee with a low kick, followed by a spinning kick. Barber also responded with attacks on the legs. Halfway through the stage, Amanda managed a great fall, but the North American stayed on her feet. The Minas Gerais native prevented her opponent from moving away and remained 'glued' to her rival's back. Near the final minute, MAycee managed to free herself. In the final stretch, Ribas started trying a leg lock, while the American attacked her with ground and pound. On top, Barber continued to hurt the Brazilian, who gave up the attempt. In the final seconds, the girl from Minas Gerais was severely punished, until the timer reached zero.
In the second round, Barber was the first to attack, with a front kick, which hit the Minas Gerais woman in the face. Still in the first minute, it was Maycee who looked for the takedown, but the Tupiniquim defended herself well. The clash was tense and frank, with the straws exchanging hard attacks in the center of the Octagon. Close to halfway through the stage, Ribas shortened his pace and managed another fall. On top, Amanda tried to prevent her opponent from standing, but Maycee struggled to get up. After attempts, the North American managed to stay on her feet and the fight returned to open exchanges. Afterwards, a high kick from Barber rocked Ribas. The Brazilian accused the attacks and walked backwards. Amanda attempted a takedown, but on the ground, she received harsh attacks from her opponent. Noticing the condition of the girl from Minas Gerais, the referee interrupted the confrontation.
