Former UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2kg) and a reference in the history of the division, Junior Gypsy was excited about the undisputed performances of Jailton Malhadinho. In an interview with the 'Trocação Franca' podcast, the Brazilian was full of praise for his compatriot and pointed to a successful future for the Bahian in the company. Tupiniquim comes from an overwhelming triumph over Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
“He has a lot of potential and is just getting started. He is fast and works very well with his body. Heavyweights are often slow. They hit hard, they are powerful and dangerous, but they are slow. So, you can anticipate some heavier movements. I see great potential. He has everything he needs to get there, and I'll be cheering him on. (…) UFC president, Dana White, has already said that he has high expectations for him (Malhadinho). At my peak, I also felt this prestige, encouraged. People understand how hard you work and the results arrive. They are building the future of heavyweight. Some are retiring and others are evolving,” said Cigano.
