Dustin poirier unsuccessfully campaigned for months to be the last opponent of Nate diaz in the Octagon in the UFC. Despite having failed in this objective, the 'Diamond' continues to follow the 'bad boy's steps away from Ultimate.
During his participation in the 'MMA Hour' podcast, Dustin poirier talked about expectations for the premiere of Nate diaz in professional boxing in a duel against Jake Paul, on August 5th and explained the reasons that led him to bet on the YouTuber winning.

“Man, Jake is younger, bigger and faster, it's not an easy fight just because Nate is a veteran with a lot of experience and Jake is a new guy from YouTube. He has the money and amenities to surround himself with the best people and dedicate himself entirely to the fight, as well as being younger and more explosive. I think Diaz's boxing is good for MMA, but it's a completely different thing”, explained Poirier.
While Nate diaz prepares to debut in boxing against Jake Paul, Dustin poirier is about to compete for the UFC's 'BMF' belt against Justin gaethje. The two face each other in rematch in the main fight of the star UFC 291, on July 29th, in Salt Lake City, in the United States.
