Malhadinho's achievements in the UFC guarantee the status of a phenomenon and bring the Brazilian's stardom closer to that of Chimaev

With a successful new performance in Ultimate, Jailton Malhadinho takes great strides in the organization. Executioner of Jairzinho Rozenstriuk in UFC Charlotte, the Brazilian shined again and, after an impeccable performance, brings the status of a phenomenon to his name. Against the dangerous Surinamese, the Bahian suffered the second significant blow in five fights in the organization.

The Brazilian's achievement can be compared to the devastating start of a fellow organization member. The fighter, who has managed the 'untouchable' status, has a similar start to that of Khamzat Shimaev, which, until the historical confrontation with Gilbert Durinho, in 2022, the company had not even suffered three significant blows.

To overcome his opponents, Malhadinho has shown unusual quality in wrestling, when compared to heavyweight athletes (up to 120,2kg). Even with a pre-determined style on the eve of each performance, Jailton has made frightening opponents look like 'amateurs' in the Octagon.

With Khamzat Shimaev, it was no different. The Swede, treated like a jewel by the organization, accumulated four impressive victories, on the fast track, until reaching the fire test, when he measured his strength with Gilbert Durinho and won the even battle in a split decision.

No UFC Charlotte, Malhadinho surpassed Chimaev's previous feat, adding his fifth positive result on the fast track and establishing a breakthrough in commitment that boosted his name into the top 10 of the heavyweight division.

According to numbers released by Ultimate, today, the Bahian absorbs 0,3 significant blows per fight – less than one attack per challenge. The Swede, on the other side, has 3,98.

At 31 years old, Jailton has 19 wins and two losses in professional MMA. Khamzat (29), in turn, is undefeated in 12 clashes.
