It's time. This Friday (12), in Paris (FR), the Bellator 296, which marks the return of the former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg.) Gegard Mousasi. Protagonist of the main fight of the night, the veteran faces Fabian Edwards, brother of Leon edwards, UFC welterweight champion (up to 77,1 kg.).

After losing the title in his last appearance, Mousasi is looking to get back on track to winning ways and put himself in a favorable position to have the right to a rematch with current champion Johnny Eblen. On the other hand, his opponent is looking to get his first chance at the Bellator belt.

In the co-main fight, Mansour Barnaoui has won eight straight victories and faces Brent Primus in a duel that counts for a place in the semifinals of the lightweight Grand Pix (up to 70,3kg).

In total, the show has 14 scheduled clashes. Brazil will be represented by Douglas lima, which appears on the main card against Costello Van Steenis and also by Paula Cristina, newcomer to the organization and José Augusto, better known as 'Gugu', in the preliminaries.
